Biden Bows To China’s Demands – Eliminates Free Speech

From the very start of the COVID pandemic, Democrats (especially in the media) have been worried about one thing, calling the disease the “China virus.”

Although early on they called it the Wuhan flu, China virus, and other variants, the moment it became widely used (thanks to President Trump), they were up in arms. Suddenly, it was “racist” to refer to the country of origin of a virus that has crippled the world.

Conveniently, though, the media in the U.S. was parroting the same exact line as the Chinese government’s own propaganda. It’s as if American leftists were more concerned about appeasing a country that is responsible for the deaths of countless all over the world.

Despite this hypocrisy, people continue to call COVID-19 the “China virus.” But, never fear! Because Joe Biden just signed yet another executive order effectively banning the term.

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden signed a few more executive orders (he’s approaching 30 — who needs Congress?). In one, with the mouthful-of-a-title — “Memorandum Condemning and Combating Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance Against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States” — the president, in essence, banned the use of the term “China virus.”

Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary to President George W. Bush, caught the irony of Biden’s move right away, citing a Washington Post headline.

“Wait a minute…” he wrote on Twitter. “After months of being told it was racist to refer to COVID as a ‘Chinese virus’ the WP refers to its new strains as ‘British and South African variants.’ So you can use the name of the nation where it comes from, so long as that nation is not China. Got it.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Joe Biden is more concerned with federal agencies “offending” people with the term China virus, than he is with the thousands of Americans who died from the disease. According to reports, 30,000 Americans died of COVID in his first week. But no, saying “China virus” is of greater concern.

You have to wonder about the First Amendment implications of this order. Biden is ordering federal agencies (made up of Americans) from not using a term that accurately describes this virus. Claiming it will contribute to “racism, xenophobia, and tolerance” against Americans of Asian descent, he is infringing on our free speech.

Tell me something, has anyone discriminated against Asian Americans because of COVID? That is a sincere question. Since the start of this insanity, I have not read one report to suggest Americans are targeting or harassing their Asian neighbors because of this disease. Nobody is that stupid. We all know Wuhan, China is to blame, not Asian Americans living in this country.

And why is the media allowed to use terms like “British” and “South African” variants? The disease didn’t originate in those countries, just certain strains of it. How is it not “xenophobic” to talk about South Africa?

This order has nothing to do with “protecting” Americans. It has everything to do with China Joe appeasing his true masters. Joe Biden isn’t really interested in ending the pandemic or saving lives. He’s much more interested in making sure China and its leaders stay happy.

If that doesn’t make you sick, nothing will.
