Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) is planning to go to Wyoming to push Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) to resign over her betrayal of President Trump when she voted to impeach the former president.
In an interview, Gaetz slammed the choice and said conservatives deserve better than Cheney, who is rank #3 in the House GOP roster.
“Liz Cheney is another politician in a long line of them,” Gaetz said. “She is willing to sell out to the military complex, lobbyists, to big corporations and the media that were continuously attacking President Donald Trump.”
Gaetz will organize a rally in Cheyenne where he will talk about Cheney’s disastrous leadership and her failed policies.
The Wyoming representative is the top ranked GOP member who joined House Dems in impeaching President Donald Trump. Despite the outcry from other Republicans, she continues to stay firm on her choice and said she will not resign.
Gaetz is a supporter of MAGA and Trump and defended the president many times amid the DNC-led effort to impeach him.
“It looks like impeachment is an itch that won’t go away with only one scratch,” Gaetz stated. “It also looks like President Donald Trump may be impeached after all, when in fact he is right. Before the last impeachment, Trump brought everyone’s attention to the actions of the Biden crime family, and now, the president has been proven correct.”
Gaetz went to Twitter to restate his recent comments. Saying that “by embracing the arguments of radical liberals instead of our America First agenda, Cheney is slapping tens of millions of Americans.”
He also stated he is not seeking Cheney’s position within the House, but believes Wyoming can do better.
