Top impeachment manager Jamie Raskin has given a completely false claim about the Jan. 6 protest in his edited video targeting President Donald Trump. His video incorrectly says “at least seven people died.”
But the truth is, four people died during the events, according to the Police. What’s more, Officer Brian Sicknick died later, which brought the number to five.
The video also edited out President Donald Trump’s call for peace before the Capitol building takeover.
“I understand everyone will be marching to the Capitol Building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,” said Trump.
GOP lawmakers have said this comment acquits him of all charges because he explicitly says any action by protesters should be peaceful.
They went on to say the edited video presented by Democrats prove their partisan agenda to prevent Donald Trump from running for office again in 2024.
