A disastrous gun control law enforcing universal background checks has passed the Democrat-controlled House this week with the help of eight Republican RINOS.
CNN reports the eight RINOS were:
- Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania
- Vern Buchanan of Florida
- Andrew Garbarino of New York
- Maria Salazar of Florida
- Carlos Gimenez of Florida
- Chris Smith of New Jersey
- Fred Upton of Michigan
- Adam Kinzinger of Illinois
Some media outlets have reported that Fitzpatrick, Upton and Smith not only voted for the gun control bill but actually “co-sponsored it.”
The gun control measure, called H.R. 8, passed the House with a vote of 227-203. The measure expands gun purchase background checks on firearms to include private transactions.
Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) warned Americans that the new bill will lead to a national gun list.
“This law creates a de facto gun owner list by bringing in the federal government into every gun transaction, including private sells and even gifts. If not this, then how will we enforce this new measure?”
