Although Joe Biden and his cohorts try to take credit for the COVID vaccine, he did virtually nothing to make it happen. Biden claims there was “nothing” available when he entered office, as if the old man willed the vaccine into existence over the last fifty days.
But the fact remains that it was President Trump who cut through layers of red tape and regulation to make the vaccine a reality. In record time, Operation Warp Speed was able to secure not one, but three vaccines from three major labs—years sooner than critics claimed was possible.
Not only that, but Trump’s program was able to speed up the production and distribution of the vaccine. Nearly 100 million Americans have already been vaccinated. And, despite a slow down due to the Biden administration, all Americans can get the vaccine by May.
However, there are some Americans who don’t want the vaccine. If you spend time on social media, you might read posts claiming all kinds of unsubstantiated rumors about how “dangerous” these vaccines are. Many of them are coming from conservatives who mistrust the government.
So, President Trump put has put those fears to rest by encouraging people to get jabbed.
“I would recommend it,” Trump said during an interview on Fox News. “And I would recommend it to a lot of people that don’t want to get it and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly. But again, we have our freedoms and we have to live by that and I agree with that also. But it is a great vaccine. It is a safe vaccine and it is something that works.” [Source: Daily Wire]
As much as conservatives might dislike people like Anthony Fauci and other establishment-types who encouraged the destruction of our country, the vaccine was developed under President Trump.
Donald Trump’s impressive leadership helped keep the country together during the darkest hours of the pandemic. He brought private and public agencies together to surge support where it was needed. He even got the FDA to cut through endless hurdles to approve a variety of treatments, including the vaccines.
While there are rumors related to the effectiveness of vaccines from around the world, most of the “controversy” surrounding the American vaccines appears to be generating from unverifiable reports and claims.
Trump himself encouraged his supporters to get it. But he also didn’t mandate it. While he said the vaccine was “safe,” he agreed with the fact that a free American shouldn’t be forced into taking a vaccine they don’t want.
We all know the certain age groups face little danger of the virus. And the most vulnerable need to be treated and protected.
So, if a young healthy person doesn’t want the vaccine, who is Trump to demand it?
Democrats have tried to use the pandemic as an excuse to turn America into a police state. They have tried to rob us of every last freedom—with rumors that “vaccine passports” might be required in the future.
There is no way Trump would ever do that.
