As more people continue to get vaccinated in America, Operation Warp Speed leaders are reminding the country of Trump’s success.
In an interview this weekend, Dr. Moncef Slaoui, former leader of Operation Warp Speed, said that Trump should be recognized for most of the coronavirus vaccine rollout. Slaoui then said the Trump administration should have the credit for at minimum 90 percent of the vaccinations so far.
He went on to say Biden’s remarks about the Trump administration not having a vaccine plan were not true, saying it was a “negative portrayal of reality.”
“Of course the first step was to speed up the creation of the vaccine. We bought 100 million doses of the vaccine, but also wrote into the agreement, a pathway to get more doses once we saw the vaccine was effective,” Slaoui said.
A number of GOP lawmakers have slammed President Biden for claiming responsibility for the vaccine rollout success.
