For over a year, the progressive left has pushed radical views concerning our law enforcement. The men and women (of all races and backgrounds) who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe have been branded villains by many Democrats. The media has been complicit in spreading these lies, leading to growing violence against police officers in nearly every state.
Last summer was marked by endless riots, spurred on by hate groups like Antifa and BLM. Cities were destroyed and police were killed, all over the misconstrued death of one man. But attempts to improve law enforcement agencies were denied by the very group to criticized them. Democrats killed a bill proposed by Sen. Tim Scott which would have gone a long way in helping both American civilians and police.
So, what do Democrats really want? Police are not perfect, by far. But most Americans would agree they are doing their best at a very hard job. Shouldn’t the good cops receive our support and the bad cops be given their walking papers?
Not if you ask the radical left. In fact, they don’t really want any cops on the streets. Just as “squad” member Rashida Tlaib, who called for not only cops to be abolished but all forms of incarceration.
No, I’m not kidding.
Far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) was widely slammed online on Monday after she made arguably the most extreme far-left proposal of any notable public figure over the last year, calling for there to be “no more policing” and “incarceration” because the system “can’t be reformed.”…
“It wasn’t an accident. Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist,” Tlaib said. “Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.”
Tlaib was widely slammed online by people who called the proposal insane and who noted that the “no more policing” slogan would be a killer for the Democrats in the upcoming 2022.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted: “Insane. ‘No more policing,’ It doesn’t get more explicit than this that Democrats want to abolish the police.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Don’t be fooled. It’s not just idiotic Tlaib that wants this kind of thing. Democrats from all corners of the country have expressed similar sentiments in recent months. They seem to think that eliminating cops and prison—i.e., law and order—they’ll finally get rid of the systemic racism that they think is everywhere.
All they’ll achieve, of course, is unchecked chaos. One progressive pointed out that Tlaib herself has benefited from law enforcement. The FBI stepped in just two months ago to investigate death threats against the Democrat. It appears Tlaib has no problem receive support from cops, but still wants them gone.
Were those FBI agents “racist,” who helped protect her? Obviously not. So, why is Tlaib branding all police in such bigoted terms?
Democrats in office enjoy private security, access to the FBI, and other top-notch protection. Yet they want to deny Americans the same basic rights.
That’s just par for the course, these days.
