In recent years, Americans have had to suffer as major corporations used their massive influence to push leftist politics. Going “woke” has become so common, it doesn’t seem most Americans are surprised by it anymore.
From professional sports to soft drink companies to clothing lines, big companies (many of which rely on slave labor in Asia) have lectured Americans about how terrible we are for embracing traditional values and beliefs.
Companies have pushed transgenderism, anti-men propaganda, social justice, and more. They’ve applauded millionaires who can’t be bothered to stand during our National Anthem. They’ve ignored real acts of injustice and propped up criminals who were rightly killed by police.
Over time, it seems that companies soon regret doing this. Some of them have backtracked. Others have lost a fortune. Still, companies keep lining up to broadcast their politics. But a new poll might shut them down for good.
An NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll released Thursday found that a majority of Americans oppose woke corporations influencing everyday life.
The poll asked registered voters if they support or oppose American companies using their public role, position, or events to influence political, cultural, or social change. The findings show that over half (58 percent) oppose any type of corporation using its power to influence any type of political, cultural, or social change across the country. They also show that 35 percent did support the efforts by woke corporations, while seven percent were unsure how to answer. [Source: Breitbart]
The poll also found that the majority of voting Americans do not approve of sports leagues using their influence to push “political, cultural, or social change.”
Gee, I could have told them that!
It’s pretty shocking that major corporations think they have the right to dictate to us how to think or what to believe. Just because we buy their soda or sweatpants does not mean we care what they think about election laws or sexuality. Especially since corporate America is known for saying things its leaders do not even believe, in order to score points with the public.
But all this virtual signaling has not scored them any points, these days. As the saying, “Go woke, go broke.” Companies have seen support for their products decline after pushing politics. Professional sports have been hemorrhaging money over the years.
Now, we have at least one poll clearly proving Americans do not want companies wading into these issues.
But do you think this will stop them? Of course not. It has never been about respecting what Americans want. The radical left (i.e., all Democrats these days) are fighting a crusade to force their will onto free citizens. They don’t care what you think or believe. Come Hell or high water, they will cram these toxic socialist schemes down your throat. Fight all you want. Boycott those companies. Leave social media. They’re not going to stop.
The only way this ends is when their puppets in office finally lose their power.
