Ever since JFK, Democrats have prided themselves on their association with the Catholic church. Many Catholics have voted for Democratic candidates, believing they shared common values and convictions.
It’s pretty odd, when you think about it, considering how little the left’s agenda matches anything embraced by the Catholic church. Democrats have long battled against religion’s influence over government and culture. They side with radical LGBT groups and support the ACLU.
And let’s not forget the big, ugly elephant in the room: Democrats’ love of abortion.
It seems like this conflict has finally caught up to at least one supposed Catholic, Joe Biden. Because a recent poll reveals just how many Catholics don’t want him to be a part of their church.
National faith-based organization CatholicVote released a survey Wednesday that found 74 percent of Catholics who regularly attend Mass say Catholic politicians who oppose the Church’s teachings should not receive Holy Communion…
Results of the survey are published as President Joe Biden, a self-described Catholic, has visited the Vatican, and the U.S. Catholic bishops are meeting to weigh the question of whether Catholic politicians who support abortion, same-sex marriage, euthanasia, and other policies that are in conflict with the Church’s teachings, should receive communion…

This could have a dramatic impact on how Catholics, and other leading churches, shape their policies and even doctrine moving forward. It’s no secret that major churches feel pressured to bend their views, in order to be accepted in society. We’ve recently seen how some large churches, like the United Methodist Church, split over the issue of transgender and gay leaders.
But where will the Catholic church, arguably the largest Christian denomination, end up going? Will they listen to their people and deny Communion to pro-choice Democrats? Or will they so bend to political pressure that they violate the beliefs of a billion Catholics?
This goes beyond just one religious group. Joe Biden’s hypocrisy on many issues has been plan to see. We all remember how he promised to be a president for both “red and blue” states. Has he? He created a border crisis which is damaging conservative states along the border. He is waging war on issues Republicans deeply care about, like the 1st and 2nd Amendments.
Frequently he claims to be one thing, to appeal to the masses, but does another. It’s not just Catholics who are questioning Biden’s integrity and commitment to ideals. Every patriotic American watches as Biden time and again sides with the radical left—a group that is the least likely to embrace our values and traditions.
Biden and his “Catholic” Democrats have a lot to answer for. And not just to a church that could decide their religious fate.
