We’ve said it once, we’ll say it again: leftists hate the United States.
The far-left looks for every opportunity to spread their toxic hate against the Land of the Free. They want as many people hating this country as they can, so they can reshape it in their own image. And that image looks very similar to Karl Marx and Soviet Russia (where the left has all the power and money).
Don’t believe what they say about America, like it is a racist country founded by racists. They don’t even believe that claim. It, and their other arguments, is a convenient lie used to pull the wool over gullible Americans’ eyes.
Despite being confronted with the facts, time and again, these blind leftists continue to spew their poison. Take insane House representative Maxine Waters. This unhinged, despicable woman has long hated a country that allowed her to become a rich, successful, famous politician. While most leaders were celebrating July 4th, she took to Twitter to post some more of her insanity.
House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) criticized the Declaration of Independence in a tweet on July 4th, suggesting it is a racist document because it was written almost 250 years ago, when there was slavery in the United States.
She tweeted Sunday:
“July 4th… & so, the Declaration of Independence says all men are created equal. Equal to what? What men? Only white men? Isn’t it something that they wrote this in 1776 when African Americans were enslaved? They weren’t thinking about us then, but we’re thinking about us now!” [Source: Breitbart]
There’s plenty of things wrong with what Waters posted. But let’s not forget she is spewing lies to push her radical agenda. Even she knows that the Declaration of Independence is not racist. She even contradicts herself in her own tweet.
She admits the document says “all men” are created equal, then claims it means only “white” men. She tries to invalidate one of the most important documents in human history, because it was written while black people were slaves. Of course, she is ignoring the fact that slavery was a hated practice even back then, and many of the founding fathers wanted it gone.
In fact, both the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution laid the groundwork for setting the slaves free. Stating clearly the God made all men equal, in your country’s founding document, automatically makes slavery incompatible with your values and beliefs. It sets the stage, in the future, for the abolition of the practice.
Waters knows that. She’s not three years old. But she’s counting on you to be unable to think that through.
What she is doing is trying to undermine the foundation of our society. Why? Because she wants to get rid of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and replace them with something else. Perhaps something that permanently forces socialism onto this country.
That way, nobody—not white or black—will be free.
