It’s standard practice for an incoming president to replace the previous administration’s top leaders. In fact, they usually resign and look for other jobs when the new guy comes in.
But that’s only the case for top officials within the administration. Normally, a president appoints staff to a variety of boards and positions within the government. They get to keep those jobs for the allotted term because they are not directly part of the administration.
That happened just before Trump left office. He appointed a variety of officials to various boards across the government. Eleven of them were filling vacancies in military academy boards. These positions were non-political and served to ensure the progress of these respected institutions.
Enter Joe Biden. Soon after he entered office, he ordered these schools to “stand down,” so their boards could not meet. Now, we are learning he is ordering Trump’s appointees to resign or be fired. But Sean Spicer refuses to comply.
The White House sent letters to 11 Trump-appointed officials on the boards of visitors of the military service academies on Wednesday, telling them to resign or they would be fired by 6 p.m.
Spicer responded to the announcement on his Newsmax TV show, “Spicer & Company,” saying, “All Trump appointees, including myself, have been kicked off the boards of the United States Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and West Point in an unprecedented move by the Biden administration.
“I’m announcing tonight for the first time that I will not be submitting my resignation and I will be joining a lawsuit to fight this.” [Source: Just the News]
It is highly unusual for a president to do this. Spicer revealed that Biden ordered a stand-down of all military academies immediately after he entered office. Biden claimed this was for some kind of “review.” Spice claims Biden did not explain himself.
Now, he is ordering legitimate members of these boards to leave or get canned.
Spicer seems to know why. He revealed that, like much of our military, Biden is trying to force “liberal ideology” onto these institutions. Most notable is critical race theory, a dark and distorted rewriting of our nation’s history.
If well-known conservatives served on these academy’s boards, they would automatically oppose this attempt to brainwash students. Biden can’t have that, so he is first purging these boards of anyone who would push back.
This is the kind of evil stuff you see from a third-world dictator, not the President of the United States. It’s painfully clear that Biden is a puppet for the radical left. Many of his decisions fall in line with their toxic agenda, including forcing CRT onto our nation’s students.
A “moderate” president would not try to wipe out board members of the previous administration. Nor would he push a controversial and historically inaccurate curriculum in our schools. Clearly, Biden is not making these decisions, just going along with what his handlers are telling him to do (if he knows what’s going on at all).
It’s unclear what kind of case Spicer has, but we’re sure he will take it all the way to the SCOTUS if necessary.
