Democrat Infighting Goes Nuclear After Radicals Revolt

Word came out recently that House Democrats stripped funding for Israel in their latest budget bill. The country had planned on providing $1 billion to our ally so they could replenish their defense system. Their “Iron Dome” used much of its resources after the Palestinians tried to bomb Israel last May.

Radical socialist Democrats in the House revolted, forcing the measure to be stripped. That resulted in a backlash across the country. Moderate Democrats, who have been pushing back against their anti-Israel and anti-Semite colleagues, managed to put the measure back in.

But Israel-hating Rashida Tlaib rioted over it on the House floor, spewing dishonest propaganda against our ally.

Tlaib gave the following remarks:

“…I will not support an effort to enable and support war crimes, human rights abuses, and violence…

We should also be talking about Palestinian need for security from Israeli attacks…

The bill claims to be quote “a replenishment for weapons” apartheid Israel used in a crisis that manufactured when it attacked worshippers… committing again numerous, numerous war crimes, and yet, a $1 billion in American tax dollars [inaudible] my colleagues want to give represents to me an absurd and unjustifiable 140X increase to U.S. funding for the Iron Dome.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Of course, most if not all, of what Tlaib said was untrue. Palestinians unloaded more than 6,000 rockets against civilian homes in Israel, in an unprovoked attack last Spring. If it wasn’t for Israel’s Iron Dome system, hundreds perhaps thousands of lives would have been lost.

Tlaib went on and on, accusing Israel of being an “apartheid” system, when that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Palestinians refuse to live within Israel. They constantly show aggression and hostility to Israel. Meanwhile, citizens of Israel, be they Jewish, Arab, or otherwise, enjoy the same rights and privileges.

Yet Tlaib kept chanting “war crimes” as if saying it would make it true.

The radical socialist was blasted back by another Democrat, in a sign of the growing rift in the party.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ted Deutch (D-FL) slammed Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) on the House floor on Thursday…

“…I cannot, I cannot allow one of my colleagues to stand on the floor of the House of Representatives and label the Jewish democratic state of Israel an apartheid state… to falsely characterize the State of Israel is consistent with those — let’s be clear — it’s consistent with those who advocate for the dismantling of the one Jewish state in the world. And when there is no place on the map for one Jewish state, that’s anti-Semitism.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Moderate Democrats fear losing their seats in swing districts as radical Democrats dominate the conversation. Clowns like Nancy Pelosi continue to give up ground to leftists like Tlaib and AOC, even as most Americans reject their agenda.

This has triggered a long and deepening war within the party—that often boils over in moments like this. It appears moderate Democrats are getting bolder in their opposition to maniacs like Tlaib. The need to do this much more, if they hope to wrestle the party back from the hands of socialists.

But are moderates brave enough to stand up to the toxic left? We shall see.
