CNN Dumps Chris Cuomo – But Not For The Reason You Think

Last week, far-left news network CNN was rocked by allegations against one of its top anchors, Chris Cuomo. The state of New York released evidence from its investigation against his brother, Andrew Cuomo, the disgraced former governor of the state. What came to light was that Chris used CNN resources to look for dirt against the women who were accusing his brother of sexual misconduct.

This revelation, that Cuomo abused his influence at the major network, only further served to erode the biased, failing CNN. Many critics claimed the only course of action the network could take was to fire Cuomo. And, after putting him on indefinite suspension, word came out that they kicked old Chris to the curb.

But, as it turns out, they were not firing him for this gross abuse of power and conflict of interest.

Debra S. Katz, a left-wing attorney, said in a statement on Sunday that she is representing a client who claims that Chris Cuomo engaged in “serious sexual misconduct” against her at another network.

Katz said she notified CNN of the allegations on Wednesday and that the allegations are ultimately what led to Chris Cuomo being fired from CNN…

“On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, I contacted CNN to report my client’s allegations of misconduct against Chris Cuomo… Last night, CNN acted promptly on my client’s complaint and fired Mr. Cuomo.” [Source: Daily Wire]

It seems an unnamed woman has “documentary evidence” of Chris Cuomo engaging in “serious sexual misconduct.” Through her lawyer, she delivered this information to CNN, appeared for an interview with their outside legal team, and urged the network to fire him. It appears her allegations were legitimate enough for CNN to can Cuomo.

If this sounds like a victory to you, just think about it for a moment. What Chris had previously been accused of should have been enough grounds for him to be terminated. He used CNN resources and connections to find slanderous information against women who were accusing a powerful governor of sexual harassment. This governor was his brother.

Chris Cuomo violated his journalistic integrity, acted out of a conflict of interest, and undermined the reputation and ethics of this well-known, international organization. In time’s past, not only would CNN had fired him, but they might have even looked to bring him up on charges. No news network would have tolerated such a violation, mainly because of how it damages their credibility with the public.

But none of that was enough for CNN to officially fire Cuomo. Instead, additional information in the form of sexual misconduct allegations was needed to be presented, before CNN actually let go of Chris Cuomo.

That’s unacceptable. And more proof that CNN is no longer a legitimate news organization. If this information didn’t come to light, they might have hired Chris back eventually, despite the damage he has done to the MSM’s reputation. CNN would have swept it under the rug because he is a good Yes-man for the liberal media industrial complex.

It seems that the only sin the left cares about anymore is sexual harassment. You can lie, cheat, steal, and slander a good person’s name as much as you.

CNN’s falling ratings are well-deserved.
