Biden Does nothing After China Gets Caught Invading Americans’ Privacy

The stakes have never been higher over who dominates on a global scale. Nations like Russia and China are seeking to gain an advantage over the rest of the world. They are aggressively building out plans to control the energy markets, global trade, and even space exploration. The only force that is capable of stopping these dictatorships from winning is the United States.

Unfortunately, we have a “president” who is bought and sold by foreign powers.

Joe Biden vowed to go hard on China while running for president. But since entering office, his administration has done bunk-all to thwart the communist nation’s advances. The best thing he did was sign a bill banning America from buying products made by Chinese slave labor. But that does not go far enough to stop China’s aggressive attempts to dominate on the global scene.

Now, we are getting word that the liberty-hating nation has been using one of its Big Brother-style techniques to collect data on American targets. Where is Joe?

China is leveraging its massive surveillance network to harvest the social media data of Western targets, according to a Washington Post review of “hundreds of Chinese bidding documents, contracts and company filings.”

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is mining Western social media — such as Facebook and Twitter — to “equip its government agencies, military and police with information on foreign targets.”[…]

“These include a $320,000 Chinese state media software program that mines Twitter and Facebook to create a database of foreign journalists and academics; a $216,000 Beijing police intelligence program that analyzes Western chatter on Hong Kong and Taiwan; and a cybercenter in Xinjiang, home to most of China’s Uyghur population, that catalogues the mainly Muslim minority group’s language content abroad,” The Washington Post added. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that the Chinese government uses software to monitor the communications of its citizens. They review the activity of Chinese Internet uses to see if they are spreading “politically sensitive information,” which is code for speaking out against their corrupt government. But now, documents have emerged revealing they are using the same software to mine American social networks.

This software is being used to collect data from Twitter and Facebook to create a database of foreign journalists and academics. It appears China wants to keep tabs on professionals in America who speak out against China’s treatment of Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Uyghur, and more. According to one report, they are trying to learn about “anti-China personnel” around the world. Now, why would they want to do that?

This should be sounding alarm bells across the country. Facebook and Twitter posts are viewable by anyone. Here in America, that isn’t a problem, since we are accustomed to free speech. But it seems China wants to use our freedom against us, by trying to surveil anyone that speaks out against their horrible abuses.

What will they do with this information? It’s no secret that China invests millions in American media companies and universities. Will they try to blacklist Americans on American soil for speaking out against their corrupt, communist regime? If that sounds crazy, keep in mind this is already happening. Some have refused to speak out against China over fears of repercussions—in the United States!

This is something our government should be working hard to oppose. But where is Biden? Where is the Pentagon? Where is the CIA? It appears they are doing nothing.
