Despite Biden’s ‘Best’ Efforts, Radical Election Bills Fail in the Senate

You have to hand it to Biden and his cronies. They are a stubborn group of people. Despite falling approval numbers, an economy on life support, and more problems than we can count, Biden refuses to change his policies to help Americans. Most Democrats in Congress are the same. Instead of demanding Joe do something about just one of his crises, they try to push toxic legislation that would hijack our elections.

Talk about getting your priorities out of whack.

It was widely known that the two bills aimed at destroying our elections were DOA in the Senate. Democrats needed 60 votes to move them from debate to a final vote on the floor. But no Republican senator was willing to do that. So, Biden and Schumer stubbornly insisted on killing the filibuster to force these bills through. Two Senate Democrats vowed not to go along with this suicidal scheme.

Despite all that, they forced a vote on the Senate floor? And guess what happened?

Democrat President Joe Biden’s voting agenda failed in the Senate late on Wednesday night after a bipartisan majority opposed Democrats’ extreme push to use the “nuclear option” and gut the filibuster.

“Manchin, D-W.Va., and Sinema, D-Ariz., joined all Senate Republicans in opposing the attempt to alter the Senate filibuster on party lines, resulting in a 48-52 final tally,” Fox News reported. “That vote followed a failed attempt by Democrats to advance the election bills over the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold. All Republicans opposed it.” [Source: Daily Wire]

This is very good news. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema kept to their words and voted with Republicans to block an attempt to kill the Senate filibuster. The stakes were extremely high over this issue. If the filibuster was killed, it would only take the slimmest majority in the Senate to pass a bill. It would have given Democrats unchecked power to pass any radical measure they wanted.

It would have violated the very core of our democratic principles, not to mention make Democrats look like hypocrites (considering they use the filibuster all the time). But more than that, the failure to end the filibuster means Biden does not have the votes to pass these election bills, ensuring the radical changes Democrats wanted to make to our elections won’t happen.

Democrats were raging after this vote. Biden and Harris issued critical and blistering statements. It only reveals just how far this corrupt party will go to steal power from Americans. Those “voting rights” bills outlaws voter ID, the one simple rule that prevents voter fraud. They also wanted to take power from the states to manage our elections. It would have made universal mail-in ballots law, another way elections are stolen (see: the 2020 Presidential Election).

These bills were the only thing Democrats had to protect themselves going into the midterms. Their approval is so low, most believe they will lose the House and possibly the Senate. Because they failed to do anything good for Americans last year, they are facing electoral extinction. Their only solution was to rig our elections, not find ways to win back voters.

Thankfully, the measure failed. Which means more Democrats might be retiring this year.
