We can’t forget the painful fact that the government’s response to COVID deeply damaged America’s young people. While the disease disproportionately hurt America’s elderly, the government heavy-handed, unconstitutional mandates disproportionately jeopardized American children’s futures.
That includes not just kids who were deprived of school and social lives, but young adults starting college or entering the workforce. And we have one major character to blame: Anthony Fauci.
The self-proclaimed expert on this virus was the biggest champion for shutting down our society. All of his mandates, lockdowns, and restrictions did more than hurt local businesses. It made young adults trying to get a leg up impossible. A year of no school meant no sporting events for kids needing scholarships. No graduation ceremonies. No in-person college classes. No networking for those future careers.
The lack of healthy social lives resulted in record drug use and suicide. All thanks to a man who seemed to profit the most from a world-breaking pandemic. So, we shouldn’t be surprised that an overwhelming majority of young adults want him gone.
Among young people aged 18-24, Fauci’s leadership is deeply unpopular. Among respondents, 82.5% of likely voters in that age bracket supported Fauci stepping down. Just 17.5% said that the doctor should stay. [Source: Daily Wire]
In nearly every other age bracket, respondents said Fauci should stay on, at least by a small margin. So, why are people between the ages of 18-24 so angry at Fauci? Perhaps it’s because they suffered the most from the government’s overreach on the pandemic, which was strongly endorsed and propagated by Fauci?
Older Americans could weather the challenges by working from home, keeping their heads down, and making the best of it. But young adults are supposed to branch out, take risks, leave home, and make major life decisions between those years (when they graduate, start college, or begin a career).
Imagine having to do all that, as the world is shutting down? Imagine having to live a “normal” life as Karens lecture you about going on Spring Break, dating, or simply going out for drinks with co-workers?
And that’s not as if Fauci’s approval hasn’t declined with the rest of the country. Fauci has been proven wrong about the virus time and again. Republicans like Jim Jordan have suggested he tried to suppress the early evidence that the virus was made in a lab. The trail of clues might lead to Fauci having a hand in the funding that created this virus in the first place.
Fauci admitted to lying, pushed outdated quarantine measures, and even helped fund the torture of dogs in Africa. On top of that, he got filthy, stinking rich while others lost their livelihoods and futures. If there was ever a reason to fire a man, we’ve got it.
