Pelosi Neglects Bill That Could Lower Car Prices–Wastes Time on ‘J6 Commission’

You don’t have to be an economist to understand why prices are getting so high. A variety of choices made by the failed Biden administration made economic issues from the pandemic much worse. Just as states were reopening and getting back to work, Biden started paying people to say home. He crippled America’s energy production, leading to a rapid rise in fuel costs. And he has been unable to solve a supply chain backlog, with ships stuck at sea.

Those are just a few of the issues that have resulted in an ongoing rising in consumer prices. Everything from basic necessities to food to electronics is getting more expensive. With some saying there is no end in sight. One particularly difficult pinch has been the rise in car prices. There is such a shortage, that used cars are being sold for many times what they are worth. This is thanks to a chip shortage being felt worldwide.

The Senate, believe it or not, passed a bipartisan bill to help automakers produce the chips they needed to get production back on track. They passed it seven months ago. Why haven’t we seen prices go down? Because Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat-run House refuse to vote on it.

The Democrat-led House of Representatives has yet to vote on bipartisan legislation the Senate passed over seven months ago that would provide billions of dollars in aid to chip manufacturers at a time when vehicle prices continue to rise for consumers as a result of the chip shortage.

Democratic Virginia Sen. Warner, a cosponsor of the bill, said the Biden Administration and House Democrats have been focused on other issues since the bill’s passage on June 8, 2021 and failed to move it forward. He emphasized that passage of the bill, titled the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, would lower the average price of vehicles…

Even Democrats in the Senate are ticked off that Biden and the House refuse to prioritize this bill. What is the House doing with all their time? Oh, that’s right, conducting meaningless hearings about the Capitol riot, all in a pathetic attempt to frame Donald Trump. Americans can’t even afford to buy a used car. That doesn’t matter. What matters is creating some kind of evidence to tarnish the reputation of a political rival.

Thanks to a lack of semiconductor chips, American automakers have struggled to produce new cars. That has resulted in a massive spike in the price of used cars, the average being $6,220 (normally, used cars are dirt cheap, seeing as how they are used). Yet Biden is such a failure at being president, that he can’t even pass a bill that would help Americans buy a car—perhaps the most American thing you can do.

There is no reason why the House can’t move this bill forward. This is yet another example of how Democrats are ignoring the problems triggered by Biden—intent on focusing on worthless plans that do nothing to help.
