As gas prices began to skyrocket last year, Joe Biden claimed it was only temporary. When it become clear it was not, he promised to work “like the devil” to get prices down. Now, he isn’t even pretending like he’s interested in getting prices lower. Instead, his administration is pushing the false narrative that gas prices only started rising after Putin invaded Ukraine. Yeah, because all of 2021 never happened, right Joe?
Biden’s anti-energy policies are what’s crippling American energy production. Even those liberals claim oil production is up in recent years, Biden’s regulations have made it much more expensive for companies to produce energy. The result is not only has gas prices gone up, but also the cost of heating and powering your home (so much for EVs). Despite pressure from the public and lawmakers, Biden is unwilling to reverse his terrible policies.
And at least one state is moving forward with a solution, without the administration.
One or more power companies in Indiana will soon be able to request to use small nuclear reactors to generate power and to begin charging customers to pay for them.
Both the Indiana House and Senate have approved a bill that directs the Indiana Utilities Regulatory Commission to adopt rules for granting certificates for the construction, purchase or lease of what are called “small modular nuclear reactors.” […]
They are being developed by a company called NuScale Power, based in Portland, Oregon. NuScale is the first company to get design approval for small reactors from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The reactors are designed to be able to work alone or in a cluster to meet the needs of a particular project. [Source: Just the News]
No state in the U.S. is using “small nuclear reactors.” Indiana is wanting to change that. A company based in Oregon has developed the concept. And it could be a solution to our energy crisis. As Biden goes to war with American oil and gas, we have to make up the difference somehow. Indiana appears to be leading the way with alternative sources that are much more reliable than wind or solar.
Expect opposition to come from the left. Radical environmentalists will probably try to challenge this bill in court, working off the outdated assumption that nuclear reactors are bad for the planet. What’s really bad for the planet are socialists who exploit the environment to weaken American progress and development. They’ve managed to cripple energy production in the country, thanks to the patsy, Joe Biden.
But something’s got to break. If the White House refuses to do anything about the energy crisis, it’s up to the states to get the job done. Joe Biden is an America-last president. He will go out of his way to make our lives a living hell. That doesn’t mean state leaders have to sit back and take it.
Hopefully, more states will follow Indiana’s lead.
