While Anthony Fauci insisted schools stay closed, Dr. Paul explained the reasons — based on trade offs, risk calculation and science — that in fall 2020 they should have been opened.
During several visits to Capitol Hill for statements about the pandemic, Anthony Fauci has been continually cornered by Paul on his agency giving money for risky gain-of-function experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
After demanding for Fauci to be fired, Paul has proposed an amendment that would get rid of his position.
“We have learned a lot during the past two years, but one main lesson is that there should not be one person made to be “dictator-in-chief.” There should not be only one person with unilateral authority for making the decisions for millions of Americans,” Paul said in a statement this week. “To make sure that ineffective, unscientific mandates and lockdowns are never forced on the American people again, I have proposed this amendment to get rid of Fauci’s position as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and separate his power into three new institutes. This will make oversight and accountability into a position that has been funded by taxpayers and has greatly abused its power, and has been the cause of many misinformations and failures during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Rand Paul also has plans to vote to stop the continuing mandates for mask on planes and other transportation. The mandate was set to expire on March 18 but was extended for another month last week.
Meanwhile, Dr. Fauci has not been heard from as the White house tries to get the pandemic out of the headlines.
Americans, and the people who run the liberal media, are officially done with coronavirus and lockdowns. Companies everywhere are getting the memo from the globalists that run the show. They are all suddenly canceling everything to do with covid-19. They are now pivoting to Ukraine as “the current thing” for the masses to focus on.
