GOP Lawmaker Triggers Liberal Rage By Protecting Women

In Colorado, Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has announced her intentions to introduce a resolution in the Hous recognizing Emma Weyant as the “legitimate winner” of the NCAA women’s race. This month, Weyant finished second to William “Lia” Thomas, a male, in the NCAA women’s 500-yard freestyle race.

Weyant is an Olympic silver medalist from the University of Virginia. She came up just two seconds short of Thomas in the 500-yard freestyle event, according to Fox News.

“A guy wrongfully took Emma’s first place title,” Boebert told Fox News Digital in an interview.

“When it comes to sports, biology should clearly win (over) ideology,” Boebert told The Times. “I truly believe in paying respect where due and Emma is entirely deserving of that respect.”

Boebert claimed that she and Weyant have not spoken. However, according to Fox, Boebert said she was inspired to draft the proposal.

Thomas, a swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania for three years, was not competitive as a male athlete, according to an unnamed UPenn female swimming teammate who The Washington Examiner spoke with earlier this year. “He wasn’t even close to being competitive,” says an anonymous UPenn female swimmer in an interview with The Washington Examiner earlier this year.

“Mediocre male athletes who seek first place instead of 450th place should simply try more and not pretend to be something they’re not,” said Boebert.

After Thomas’ NCAA title was announced, Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that his state would recognize runner-up Emma Weyant as the real winner, a Sarasota native, shortly after.

“The NCAA is destroying the opportunities out there for women, making a mockery of our championships, and continuing a fraud by allowing men to compete in women’s sports,” DeSantis tweeted. “In Florida, we reject these terrible lies and recognize Emma Weyant as the greatest woman swimmer in the 500y freestyle.”

Democrats have long since worked to turn men and women against one another. Now it seems they are taking this agenda up a notch by pushing mentally ill men into women’s sports. Republicans should push back on this at every instance.
