Dems Fail Again as Majority Supports Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay Law’

If you haven’t been paying attention to what’s been going on, allow us to fill you in. Florida’s conservative government recently passed the Parental Rights in Education law. This law bans the discussion of sexual topics in classes, third grade and lower. It was necessary, as more and more left-wing teachers in public schools are trying to indoctrinate young children with topics as inappropriate as sex, transgenderism, and homosexuality.

The left, of course, freaked out. In an attempt to distort the law, they called it “Don’t Say Gay.” Stupid people, like actor Mark Hamill, were triggered online over this fake news. But it didn’t stop Gov. DeSantis from signing it into law. Democrats are already trying to shut it down through lawsuits, but they are going to find out that they are on the wrong side of history. Because the vast majority of Americans (including Democrat voters) support the law.

The majority of Americans approve of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law — misreported by the left-wing media and activists as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill —  according to a poll publicized by the Editorial Board at the Wall Street Journal.

That includes 55 percent of Democrats and 53 percent Americans who voted for Joe Biden…

“When Americans are presented with the actual language of the new Florida law, it wins support by more than a two-to-one margin,” Public Opinion Strategies said about its poll…

“Among suburban voters, which could be a decisive group for the midterm elections, it’s 60 percent to 30 percent. Parents: 67 percent to 24 percent. Biden voters: 53 percent to 30 percent. Respondents who “know someone LGBTQ”: 61 percent to 28 percent.” [Source: Breitbart]

Clearly, the Wall Street Journal was not expecting such a result. The vast majority of Americans support the Florida law, which bans the discussion of sex and gender for children 8 years old and younger. That seems like a pretty reasonable law to me. Most of us weren’t told about sex by our teachers when we were that young. It’s actually pretty disgraceful that we even have to pass that kind of law, since there are teachers who want to push this stuff onto young students.

What’s particularly telling about this poll is that 55% of Democrat voters supported it as well. That includes 53% of people who voted for Joe Biden. That means a majority of liberal voters also don’t want their kids being told by some public school teacher about sex. That number skyrockets to 67, when just asking parents.

Hmm… it’s almost as if parents want to be in charge of their kids’ experiences, not government employees. What a shocker! (It is, to the socialists who work at your local public school.)
