Democrats really know how to hold a grudge, don’t they? This week, they are reeling from the probable news that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade. This historic moment will remove federal allowances for abortion, allowing states to pass their own laws regulating the practice.
Naturally, liberals are panicking. They make millions off the slaughter of unborn babies. (Democrats give hundreds of millions to Planned Parenthood, which then donates millions to their re-election campaigns). Democrats are obsessed with the murder of the unborn, almost like it is a religion.
And they are looking at anyone to blame for this big news. One outlet is even blaming Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died years before this ruling came out.
Left-leaning media outlet “The Daily Beast” published an op-ed Tuesday arguing that had Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg retired during the second term of Democrat Barack Obama’s presidency, the court would not be preparing to possibly overturn the precedent established its landmark Roe v. Wade abortion case.
“Ginsburg alone couldn’t have saved the court, but in giving up her seat she could have stalled its transformation into the conservative juggernaut that is about to achieve the Republicans’ Holy Grail,” writes Danielle Moodie, who further argues that succeeding President Donald Trump wound up seating three justices in a single term. So much for gratitude, huh? When Ruth Bader Ginsburg was alive, liberals worshiped the ground she walked on. Mostly because she was a woman Supreme Court justice and voted along with the liberal wing of the court.
But after she died, the left expressed their trust disdain for the woman. They apparently now hate her, because she refused to retire while Obama was president, giving him another seat on the bench to fill.
Really, guys? Democrats are willing to destroy one of their own icons, because of a hypothetical scenario where they might have extended their power on the Supreme Court.
You really can’t make up this kind of idiocy.
First off, that would not have been a guarantee. Had RBG retired, Trump would have still had two seats on the court to fill. That would have still meant a 5-4 conservative majority. RBG’s retiring early wouldn’t have changed that reality.
It seems all this op-ed has done was expose Democrats for being power-hungry monsters that want to run the country at all costs. Figures like Ginsburg only matter to them, to the extent that Democrats can use them to achieve that end.
Forget all the good Ginsburg did for the “progressive” cause. Or the example she left for future Americans. No, she didn’t retire when Obama was president, so now she is forever remembered as an enemy.
Pathetic.
