Democrats Rework The Second Amendment

On Sunday, documentary filmmaker and gun control advocate Michael Moore presented his new Second Amendment plan, which includes a ban on all semiautomatic firearms.

Mr. Moore posted his new amendment on Twitter, which he called the 28th Amendment and claimed would repeal and replace the Second Amendment.

Moore’s news amendment eliminates any mention of a right to “keep and bear arms,” substituting the phrase “inalienable right to be kept safe from gun violence.”

The bill includes an amendment that specifies the comprehensive background check that would be necessitated for purchases of firearms:

“All persons who want to obtain a gun will go through a thorough background check that includes a confidential, written approval of family members, spouses, ex-spouses/ex-partners, neighbors, and co-workers. A mental health evaluation will also be necessary.”

Moore’s bill, if passed, would raise the minimum purchasing age for all firearms to 25 and establish a one-month waiting period. It would also require gun owners to get licenses and register their weapons.

The “amendment” prohibits semi-automatic guns, as well as non-semiautomatic weapons with a capacity of more than six rounds.

The provision would extend the law to include ammunition; it also specifies that Congress will publish a list of legal firearms. As the number of illegal weapons changes, Congress will revisit the list of authorized weapons on an ongoing basis.

Michael Moore has been criticized for his far-left views and outrageous tactics. He recently has said that white men should give up their power and hand it over to women and minorities.

Moore has also been accused of being sexist, as he has made comments that demean and disrespect women. He has been known to use profanity when speaking in public, which has led some to believe that he is unfit to be a public figure.
