Democrats have been scrambling to get something done before the November midterms. They were even able to bamboozle plenty of RINOs in the House to pass massive spending, even in the midst of rampaging inflation. The Senate was putting together their own bill, that they could force through without Republican support thanks to reconciliation.
But, once again, Joe Machin put a stop to it. He refused to support the current spending package because of wasteful “climate change” spending and increased taxes. At a time when all Americans are suffering, Joe and the Democrats want to increase taxes—with will always hurt working- and middle-class Americans the most.
Deranged socialist Bernie Sanders was not at all pleased. So he unloaded on his “colleague.”
Leftist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) lashed out at moderate Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) Sunday after Manchin scuttled the Democrats’ latest spending package…
“He didn’t abruptly do anything,” Sanders said of Manchin’s sudden break in negotiations. “He has sabotaged the president’s agenda…”
“West Virginia, a beautiful state, I have had the pleasure of being there, great people, it’s one of poorest states in this country… Ask the people of West Virginia whether we should demand the wealthiest people and large corporations start paying their fair share of taxes. Ask the people whether or not all people should have health care as a human right… that’s what they will say. In my humble opinion, Manchin represents the very wealthiest people in this country, not working families in West Virginia or America.” [Source: Daily Wire]
It seems Bernie Sanders knows as little about West Virginia as he does how the U.S. economy works. He claims that the “poor” folks of West Virginia want Manchin to support raising taxes, universal healthcare, and policies that would further cripple the fossil fuel industry—which is a major provider of jobs for West Virginians.
The truth is, Manchin knows exactly what West Virginians want. That’s why he still has a job. West Virginia went for Trump in both 2016 and 2020. Manchin, although a Democrat, cannot embrace far-left policies if he wants to keep voters happy.
Uncle Bernie is so used to living in his socialist bubble, that it hasn’t occurred to him that Manchin is doing the will of his people. Sanders has convinced himself that all “poor” or lower-class Americans want radical socialism. They don’t. They just want good-paying jobs and for the government to get off their back.
But a communist like Sanders will never do that. He’s a career politician determined to turn America into a Marxist state. He claims Manchin is “sabotaging” Biden’s agenda.
The only person sabotaging Joe Biden… is Joe Biden. His lack of leadership and poor staff have generated runaway inflation and the worst approval ratings we’ve ever seen.
Sanders can say all he wants, but Manchin is the only reason Democrats have a ghost of a chance in November.
