Florida Governor Shuts Down Woke Lawyer–Suspends State Attorney Who Won’t Uphold the Law

You might have wondered why blue states—and especially blue cities—are suffering from a rising crime wave. There are many factors, of course, including Democrat legislatures defunding police. But a major contributor to this crisis are far-left attorneys who are not upholding the law.

In recent election cycles, socialist and Democratic donor George Soros bankrolled the campaigns of numerous district and state attorneys. In places like New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, these lawyers have pushed a “progressive” agenda that eliminated bail, charges for certain crimes, and put criminals on the streets.

Even in the red state of Florida, a Soros zombie was trying to shut down the law. So, this week, Gov. DeSantis shut him down.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is taking action against woke prosecutors who put themselves above the law, announcing the suspension of State Attorney Andrew Warren…

“We are going to make sure that our laws are enforced and that no individual prosecutor puts himself above the law,” he continued, noting that the states and localities that are doing that — allowing woke prosecutors to get away with refusing to enforce the law — are now dealing with unsafe communities “thanks to prosecutors that think they know better than the people’s representatives, and they get to pick and choose which laws that they’re enforcing.” [Source: Breitbart]

Gov. DeSantis announced he was suspending State Attorney Andrew Warren, a progressive lawyer who was not enforcing state law. Specifically, DeSantis accused Warren of refusing to enforce laws that set limits on sex changes for children and the state’s ban on abortion.

Warren is one of many attorneys funded by Soros, who took positions across the country. These attorneys have embraced a progressive agenda that puts criminals ahead of law-abiding citizens and the law itself. But no more in Florida.

The governor revealed this decision received “a lot of input” from leaders across the state. It doesn’t seem that the governor was unilaterally making the decision.

This suspension removed Warren from his job—and perhaps will lead to an investigation and termination.

Warren will perhaps try to fight back with a lawsuit. But at least, for now, he has been removed from causing more damage to the state.

Recently, far-left San Francisco recalled its progressive DA—who refused to prosecute criminals. The newly-installed DA cleaned house, firing previous staff, and even went after criminals cleared by the last district attorney.

Now, if a city as blue as San Francisco is getting rid of these pro-criminal attorneys, imagine what will happen around the country?

Soros and his goons better look out.
