Donald Trump stated on Monday that the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid could result in Republicans experiencing significant wins during the 2022 midterm elections.
On his social media platform, Truth Social, the former president has frequently used to communicate with suggest that the raid was a result of ideological and partisan motives.
“Republicans might win a lot more seats in the House and Senate as a result of the strong reaction to the Mar-a-Lago raid,” he claimed in a Truth Monday afternoon post.
“Some Republicans have regained the territory they lost a few weeks ago, due to the FBI’s unannounced Break In,” he said.
In addition, he claimed in a separate Truth Social post that the FBI “stole” three of his passports during the raid, calling it an “attack on a political opponent at a level that hasn’t ever been seen before in our country. Third World!”
In an interview with Fox News Digital on Monday, the former president stated that people are exceedingly “angry” about the raid and other attacks against him.
“People are incredibly angry at the current situation,” Trump said. “We need to do whatever we can to help fix it – the temperature in our country is rising and if we don’t act, terrible things will happen.”
“Years of the fake witch hunts and phony Russian, Russian, Russian schemes and scams—nothing happens to these people who perpetuate that and nothing happens to them.”
“Then they break into a former president’s home, a sneak attack where it was completely unexpected — no one ever thought such a thing would happen,” Trump continued.
Trump stated he would provide whatever assistance the DOJ needs and is waiting to hear back from them on whether or not they will accept his offer.
Trump told Fox News Digital that if there is anything they could do to help, he and his people would be more than willing to do that.
“The nation is in an extremely dangerous situation,” he continued. “There’s a tremendous amount of rage I’ve never seen before over all of the witch hunts and scams, and now this one.”
Last week, agents conducted an unprecedented raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and seized classified records. Some of the records were reportedly marked as top secret. Trump has said that the records have been declassified.
