Democrats had no real plan for winning 2022. Biden and his party wrecked the economy. They left the border open and allowed inflation to destroy millions of Americans’ livelihoods. Instead of correcting their agenda, they pushed more economy-destroying socialism.
At the last minute, Biden thought he could save their bacon by forgiving student loans. But he forgot one thing: most Americans didn’t appreciate having to bail out entitled college students’ debt. And now, according to one show host, they are resorting to a new tactic.
Hugh Hewitt said Democrats and the Biden administration have bet on making the 2022 midterm elections about attacking the right as semi-fascist and have completely abandoned President Biden’s student loan debt cancellation program after touting the program because “They got a week of blowback from ordinary Americans saying, are you out of your mind?”

He just didn’t even — a week earlier, this was the greatest thing since sliced bread. They got a week of blowback from ordinary Americans saying, are you out of your mind? Democrats are responsible for Afghanistan, Ukraine, the open border, high gas prices, runaway inflation, the supply chain crisis, mandates that almost cost 100 million their jobs, and reckless spending with higher taxes.
Not once have they tried to alter course to improve their midterm chances. They thought they could bamboozle voters by “forgiving” $500 billion in student loans. But most Americans aren’t in college–and don’t want to be on the hook for spoiled students’ tuitions.
So, according to Hewitt, they rapidly changed tactics to make the upcoming elections all about Trump.
How pathetic is that? Democrats are failing, so they are going back to a strategy that has failed to help them again and again.
Donald Trump isn’t on the ballot. Nor has he even announced a 2024 run. On top of that, the news that the FBI raided his home only helped him among Americans. Why do Democrats think making this election about Trump is a winning strategy?
Even more pathetic are the actual things Biden has said. He’s attacking not only Trump but the majority of Republicans and Trump supporters. Biden called them semi-fascist, full of anger, supporting violence, threats to democracy, insurrectionists, and extremists.
Not just one man, but millions of Americans Biden claims to represent. Biden thinks he can trick enough voters into believing half of the country (or more) are vile monsters that need to be stamped out.
Do you think even independent voters will believe him? Biden is only doing this because every other attempt at salvaging the midterms has failed.
So, he is trying to make it all about hate.
