For years, Democrats have tolerated dangerous and reckless members within their party. Many of them thrive in the House, where overwhelmingly blue districts ensure they always win re-election.
But these junior (and outsider) members of the Democratic Party have been gaining increasingly more influence over the party. Moderates have cowered as these extremists push socialist policies.
Finally, though, one of these radicals is facing strict pushback. And it’s over comments she made against one of our closest allies.
Far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) faced backlash Wednesday for comments she made this week when she said that Democrats could not be considered “progressive” if they supported Israel’s government…
Speaking at an online advocacy seminar held on Tuesday by Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP Action) and co-sponsored by American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Tlaib said, “I want you all to know that among progressives, it has become clear that you cannot claim to hold progressive values, yet back Israel’s apartheid government.” […]
Tlaib’s remarks were so outrageous that many leftist Democrats and activists, like ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, condemned Tlaib for her remarks.
“In one sentence, Tlaib simultaneously tells American Jews that they need to pass an anti-Zionist litmus test to participate in progressive spaces, even as she doubles down on her antisemitism by slandering Israel as an apartheid state,” Greenblatt wrote on Twitter…
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) tweeted: “I fundamentally reject the notion that one cannot support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish and democratic state and be a progressive.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Let’s see if Tlaib is stupid enough to fight the leaders of her party over her anti-Semitic views. The far-left socialist claimed that Democrats can’t be “progressive” and still support Israel.
She claimed Israel–the one true democracy in the Middle East–was an “apartheid government.” Of course, that doesn’t even make sense. Israel grants equal rights to all of its citizens (even the minority Israeli Arabs).
But Tlaib is a Palestinian and has used the stupid Democratic Party to push her anti-Jewish, anti-Israel views in America. She has no business holding public office. She has no business representing any American.
Her outrageous and inaccurate comments sparked outrage from all corners of the political left. Even Jerry Nadler, a New York Democrat, bashed Tlaib’s remarks.
It seems that, perhaps, Democrats are going to finally confront this rogue, dangerous wing of their party. Tlaib and the other socialists within the House have to go. Their toxic influence will only harm the United States and our allies overseas.
