Democrats Panic as Midterm Upset Looms–Major Race Moved to Toss-up

For months, Democrats have been denying reality by saying there wasn’t a red wave coming this November. They’ve tried and failed, to make the upcoming elections about abortion. The painful reality is, Joe Biden and the Democrats’ failure on the economy and crime will continue to be the top issues influencing voters this midterm cycle.

All the Trump-bashing in the world isn’t going to change the fact that Democrats sat back and let Biden tank our country. Worse than that, millions of Americans will go to the polls to send a message to Democratic state leaders, who shut down their communities for years and allowed crime to overrun their streets.

Many House races have been moved to the “toss-up” category, meaning sitting Democrats in swing districts could lose big in a few weeks. And now, one critical race in a deep-blue state has just joined their ranks.

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) has closed the gap in the polls on Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in recent weeks, and the New York governor’s race was moved to a “toss-up” Saturday, according to RealClearPolitics…

Hochul led Zeldin by as many as 24 points, according to polling from August, and another poll in September showed the governor up by 17, but new data suggest the Republican candidate has remarkably made it a competitive race in deep blue New York…

New York makes the second governor’s race in a heavily Democratic state that has moved to “toss-up” in recent weeks. RealClearPolitics moved the race for New York governor from “likely Democrat” in August to “leans Democrat” in September. But now, with just days before the election–the polling website calls it a toss-up.

Kathy Hochul, who inherited her governorship from disgraced Andrew Cuomo, managed to destroy a 24-point lead. You have to be really bad at your job to get into trouble that much, in a state as heavily liberal as New York.

But this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone whose been paying attention. Hochul is just as pathetic a leader as Cuomo. She prioritized social politics instead of running the state. Her hand-picked second in command was outed for corruption. She trampled over residents’ rights when, after the Supreme Court overturned a strict gun law, she doubled down and made it even harder to carry in the state.

Biggest of all, Hochul has marched along with the radical, defund the police Democrats. She has encouraged policies that put criminals on the streets, crippled police departments, and rewarded crime and violence. And that’s not even getting into the state’s rampant homelessness and the ongoing exodus of residents.

Hochul has good reason to worry. She’s never won a governor’s race. She only fell ass backwards into this job. And it doesn’t seem she has the ability to keep it.
