According to many midterm polls, rising crime is a major concern for Americans. That’s especially true in blue, Democrat-run cities. Progressive district attorneys, mayors, and city councils have gone out of their way to reward criminals and punish law-abiding citizens.
And even when that has resulted in a tsunami of crime, they refuse to do anything about it.
The West Coast has been hammered, thanks to radical leftists calling the shots. Police departments have been defunded. Cash bail has been eliminated. And in one blue city, shoplifting is no longer punished. Things have gotten so bad, companies are fleeing. One CEO shut down his store after just a year.
And this was his indictment against San Francisco.
The founder of a popular clothing and gear outfitter wrote a scathing goodbye letter to San Francisco, saying he’s pulling out because the city has “descended into a city of chaos.”
Cotopaxi CEO Davis Smith said near-daily brazen robberies, constant vandalism, and fears for the safety of his employees have left him no choice but to shutter the store he opened “in a charming shopping district” a year ago. The city’s refusal to do anything about theft and safety makes it impossible to run the business, he said…
“Our store is hit by organized theft rings several times per week. They brazenly enter the store and grab thousands of dollars of product and walk out.” [Source: Daily Wire]
What’s happening in San Francisco is nothing short of a nightmare. Criminals run free, breaking into cars and homes. Stores are robbed daily, with nobody able to stop it.
That’s because the imbeciles who run the city no longer punish shoplifting under $950 worth of goods. Police can’t arrest them. Shop owners can’t press charges. Security guards can do nothing. So, organized bands of thieves simply walk into a store, grab what they want, and leave.
Smith’s opened his story just a year ago in a “charming shopping district.” But from the very first day, it was robbed by this criminal scum. No matter what he did, things only got worse.
He blasted the city’s leadership and law enforcement. Thanks to the heavily-politicized police department, not even SFPD is willing to confront this tidal wave of crime.
Smith had no choice but to close his store, putting his employees out of work. All because the progressive idiots who run San Francisco are putting criminals ahead of Americans.
You might wonder why Democrats are doing this. But it doesn’t matter. They are slaves to their broken, left-wing ideology. What we really have to wonder is why people keep voting for these people.
Democrats have proven they are not qualified to run our country. When given the chance, they destroy anything they touch. If the people of San Francisco want to live in a peaceful, thriving city, they know what they have to do: fire these Democrats.
If they want to live in a hellhole, where all the jobs and sensible people are gone, then they just have to keep things the way they are.
