Is it just white noise, at this point, to say Biden’s ruined the economy? The mainstream media has tried to cover up Biden’s failures as much as they could. But nobody’s fooled. Ever since Biden entered office, the economy has been in freefall. This is not a coincidence. It is the direct result of Biden’s terrible leadership.
First, he injected the U.S. economy with over $2 billion in new money, back in early 2021. That drastically lowered the value of our dollar, leading to jumps in consumer prices. Next, he shut down our energy production, banning the drilling for oil and gas on federal land. Finally, he has neglected major issues hurting the supply chain, resulting in lower stock at your local stores.
All of this has led to high prices, runaway inflation, and a creeping recession. But it’s about to get much, much worse. Biden assigned negotiators to help prevent a devastating strike. Of course, they failed miserably. And now, the entire nation will suffer from a crippling shutdown–just before the holidays.
Members of the country’s largest rail union on Monday rejected a proposed labor contract with freight railroads, resulting in a potential nationwide freight-rail strike amid the holiday season and Congress likely intervening to avert such a shutdown…
The other union, the nation’s second-largest rail union, which represents engineers, ratified its own contract, according to CNN. But the deal alone will not avert a strike, which could begin as soon as Dec. 5, raising concerns about further disruptions of the U.S. supply chain and exacerbating already high inflation. ..
The work stoppage would impact coal shipments, passenger rail service and cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars per day, according to Politico.
All 12 unions have to agree to the contract, and if just one fails to sign it, none of the others would cross a picket line, which would likely trigger an industry-wide strike. [Source: Just the News]
This is a worst-case scenario on an epic proportion. Just before Christmas, the railroads are about to shut down thanks to a labor strike. There are 12 unions that represent the various rail workers. If just one of them refuses to sign the new contracts, all 12 unions will not work. That will lead to a shutdown of all railroad services nationwide.
Don’t think that’s a big deal? You’d be dead wrong. You might not take the train to travel. But most of your goods do. Railroads account for a large portion of the supply chain, which has already suffered big time over the last two years.
Trains deliver groceries, fuel, and a variety of goods from coast to coast. If a strike hits, millions of Americans will not have access to basic products. It will cost the U.S. economy billions per day. It is the very last thing we need right now.
And Biden couldn’t stop it.
He had previously bragged, just weeks ago, that he averted the strike. He claimed his negotiators were able to forge a deal between unions and the railroad companies. But three unions refused to sign the deal because the companies refused paid time off and other benefits. Biden’s deal did not provide what the workers wanted.
So Biden failed. All his bragging was for nothing. And now, the U.S. economy might suffer worst than anyone can imagine.
