After DeSantis Shuts Down Communist China-Another Red State Makes Shocking Move

This week, we learned about how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis explored plans to prevent Chinese entities from buying land and properties within the Sunshine State. This move raised the alarm about actors from the communist nation having tremendous influence over the United States. Communist-owned companies and figures have control of American companies, schools, and even entire industries.

But DeSantis is not the last Republican leader to drop the ban hammer on the Chinese Communist Party. Republican Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin just made a shocking move, shutting down plans to build a job-creating plant in his state. This has outraged liberals within Virginia. So, the governor pulled the mask off this Chinese scheme.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin told Ford thanks, but no thanks for its proposal to build a $3.5 billion battery plant over the car maker’s partnership with China…

“We felt that the right thing to do was to not recruit Ford as a front for China to America,” Youngkin said last week after delivering his State of the Commonwealth speech…

Ford’s partner in the project was to be the Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology…

“While Ford is an iconic American company, it became clear that this proposal would serve as a front for the Chinese Communist party, which could compromise our economic security and Virginians’ personal privacy,” Youngkin spokeswoman Macaulay Porter told the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Wow. The deal looked good on paper. Ford would come to Virginia and build a $3.5 billion battery plant. Predictions suggested it would create 2,500 jobs. But behind all this “good news” was a dark secret. Ford was merely a front for a Chinese company to get its hooks into America. The company really pulling the strings was Contemporary Amperex Technology–one of many Chinese companies controlled by its communist government.

Had Virginia gone ahead with this deal, it would have given this company unrestricted access to the United States, our resources, government data, and the personal information of millions of Virginians. It was, essentially, a deal with the devil. While it looked so attractive and lucrative, it would have cost far too much for the state and nation.

Democrat leaders are way too eager to make these kinds of deals. They brag about how welcoming a hostile nation into our country brings money and jobs. But they conveniently leave out how China is getting much more out of the deal, including cash, information, and (perhaps most valuable) influence over our state, local, and federal government.

Youngkin made a tough choice, but it was the right one. If we hope to have a future for America, we need to root out China’s destructive influence over our government. China wields far too much power over policymakers and corporations. If we don’t stop them now, China won’t need to invade the U.S. with soldiers. Because it has already bought and sold us.
