Democrats Try to Block FL Pro-life Law–the State Supreme Court Fired Back, Big Time

Democrats will never get over the death of Roe v. Wade. Ever since the Supreme Court overturned the 1970s ruling that legalized abortion, the left has been in meltdown mode. The court handed the power to decide abortion rights to the states. And, as you expect, most red states quickly passed laws to restrict the practice or ban it altogether.

Conservative-run Florida had passed a strong, pro-life law months before the Supreme Court ruling. This law bans abortions after 15 weeks, a policy often referred to as the “Heartbeat bill.” Democrats hate any limits on abortion. From coast to coast, they advocate for abortion on demand. It seems they are no longer “pro-choice,” but “abortion-only.” Leftists sued Florida to eradicate this bill.

But the state Supreme Court just gave them some bad news.

The Florida Supreme Court has agreed to hear a legal challenge to Florida’s 15-week abortion ban, which was signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis in April 2022.

Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit against the law, arguing the right to abortion is protected by the Florida Constitution. However, the court did not grant their request for a temporary restraining order to block the state from enforcing it.

Often, when a lawsuit challenges the legality of a law, the courts will put a hold on the law while the case is being decided. Obviously, the child-hating leftists at Planned Parenthood and the ACLU wanted the state Supreme Court to shut down this law while the case is dragged out in court. That would have given PP weeks if not months of free and clear abortions.

Planned Parenthood will not survive if abortion is outlawed. The group claims to provide “healthcare” for women. But its top priority is abortion, plain and simple. If this Florida law remains in place, it will strike a huge blow to PP’s bottom line.

But the decision by the court to keep the law in place while the case is happening is a big win for Florida. The law will protect unborn life. And this suggests the state court is already leaning toward protecting the law, with its final verdict.

Nothing about this law violates the state’s constitution or the U.S. Constitution. States now have the power to decide abortion rights. If Florida’s government sets limits, Planned Parenthood has no business undermining it.

But Democrats will never rest until abortion on demand is legal everywhere in the country. They have become the party of death and murder of the unborn. And they are proud of it.

That’s a good enough reason to never support them again!
