Over the last few weeks, the Biden administration has been embroiled in a classified documents scandal. Old Joe is facing a DOJ probe over the proper handling of classified documents at his office, private library, and garage. This would not have been much of a story, had Democrats not raided former President Donald Trump’s home in August, over the same situation.
Now, news came out this week that former Vice President Mike Pence also held onto classified documents.

Oy. Who didn’t hold onto classified documents, at this point? To his credit, Pence immediately informed the National Archives, when the (very few) documents were found. He then immediately handed them over to the FBI for review.
It’s highly likely that Democrats will use this to slander Mike Pence, who is a well-regarded leader in this country. With rumors floating that Pence is a 2024 contender, who knows what the left might say to tarnish his reputation? So, perhaps the least likely person is roaring to his defense.
Former President Donald Trump released a statement on Tuesday after former Vice President Mike Pence reported that he had documents that were marked as classified in his home. Trump took to his social network to declare Pence is “an innocent man.” He said his former vice president “never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life.” These are strong words from Trump, who hasn’t been on good terms with Pence since January 2021.
The two parted ways after Pence decided to certify the questionable 2020 Election results. Reports suggest Trump blamed Pence for the fallout of that election upset. It is widely accepted that Trump will not pick Pence as his running mate, should he win the Republican primary.
And, Pence is considered a possible Trump rival in the upcoming election. Trump could easily have stayed silent, hoping this news would bury Pence. Instead, he came to his defense, stating that Pence has never done anything dishonest in his life.
The news that another former top U.S. official held onto classified documents might raise more questions. If Congress had any brains, they’d open probes to ensure nobody is holding onto documents that could fall into the wrong hands. This goes beyond merely Trump, Biden, or Pence. Congressmen, as well as other officials, could have classified information stuffed into a closet somewhere.
Maybe there needs to be better accountability?
