House Speaker Drops Bomb on Biden–His Spending Days Are Over

Democrats did a victory lap after the 2022 midterms. They seemed to think it was a win that they lost the House, but kept the Senate. Biden even went before the media and bragged about it. I guess they were just lying to themselves, as they’ve long lied to us. The fact remains Democrats lost the House, which holds the “purse strings” of Congress.

Joe Biden’s plans to transform America into a socialist dictatorship died on Election Day. He now has to get the approval of angry Republicans, if he wants to pass anything. And, guess what? For the second time in Biden’s administration, the government hit a debt ceiling. That’s how much of our money Joe’s burned through in just two years.

The senile old man is demanding Congress to raise the debt ceiling, with no conditions. But the Republican House Speaker just gave him the bad news.

U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told Breitbart News in no uncertain terms that the House of Representatives this year will not pass a clean debt ceiling hike without spending cuts and that the House will not raise taxes.

“The one thing I firmly believe,” McCarthy said, is “We’re not going to raise taxes and we’re not going to pass a clean debt ceiling.”

“I told the president we have to spend less money,” McCarthy added.

McCarthy said that without serious reforms to discretionary spending the U.S. could be on the brink of serious financial calamity.

“Every great society collapses when they over-extend themselves,” McCarthy told Breitbart News. [Source: Breitbart]

McCarthy is not wrong. In just this week, Biden’s reckless spending and poor leadership resulted in several high-end banks collapsing. The federal government had to rush in and save the numerous small businesses that could have lost everything. Many say this was due to Biden’s disastrous support of “green” companies and his bad decisions that rapidly increased inflation, forcing the Feds to jack up interest rates.

Even then, Biden still wants to push massive spending bills that will only make the problem worse. Joe doesn’t seem to realize that bloated, runaway government spending is in large part responsible for the economic crisis we are in now. Biden just thinks he can raise taxes on people struggling to buy eggs and everything will work out.

That should tell you just how incompetent he really is.

But with Republicans in control of the House, Joe’s got nothing. He can keep forcing his socialist agenda onto the country. He and his party will have to negotiate with Republicans. That means, a deal that slashes taxes, reduces spending, in exchange for raising the debt ceiling.

Is Biden smart enough to do that? Probably not.
