Republicans from all corners of the party have come out against the left’s latest attack against Donald Trump. Democrats have launched numerous schemes to stop Trump from becoming president. Most of them were either aimed at tarnishing his character or to literally throw him into jail. Since 2020, their goal has been to cook up a scheme to prevent Trump from winning another term.
Their pathetic J6 scheme collapsed. So now, New York DA Bragg is accusing Trump of “falsifying” records to pay off porn actress Stormy Daniels. Yep, the left is back on that debunked claim. There have already been investigations into this issue; Trump has already been exonerated over this. Republicans are already blasting Democrats for this scheme.
And one unlikely face is commenting on this news.
Comedian Chris Rock warned U.S. lawmakers on Sunday that arresting former President Trump would only make him “more popular.”
Rock made the comments while in Washington, D.C., for an event honoring Adam Sandler…
“Are you guys really going to arrest Trump?” Rock asked.
“Do you know this is only going to make him more popular. It’s like arresting Tupac. He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?” he said as the room laughed. [Source: Fox News]
Never in a million years would we have expected a comedian like Chris Rock to come to Trump’s defense. He told an elite crowd of D.C. lawmakers that indicting Trump is only going to make him more popular.
Not only that, but he backed up Trump, even defending the charges against him. We know Trump isn’t guilty of what the left is claiming, but Rock’s comments are in support of Donald Trump. Back in 2016, no Hollywood comedian would have said something like this.
It seems there is a rift happening among comedians. Since 2016, when cancel culture blew up, more and more popular comedians are turning on the left. The liberal establishment has sided with the woke mob that tries to silence comedians, even famous, black comedians.
So, people like Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Joe Rogan have pushed back. And now, it seems they are even willing to say things that really upset Democrats, like supporting Donald Trump to some extent.
Rock is in no way a Republican, but he clearly isn’t on board with the left’s latest witch hunt. For him to predict this will only help Trump, shows you how much the left is fracturing.
Will all this end up helping Trump–and his 2024 campaign? It is very likely. If a man like Rock can say it, everyone else is thinking it.
