House GOP Send Biden Running–Launch Probe Into One of His Biggest Failures

It’s not an exaggeration to say Biden’s failed many times while in office. We’ve lost count of the number of crises he’s had a hand in creating. Thanks to Biden’s reckless spending, we are suffering from the worst inflation in 40 years. His war on American energy has forced gas prices to skyrocket. He is deliberately neglecting the border, allowing millions of illegals to flood the country.

But his failures seem to know no bounds. Even things we assumed were already handled have fallen apart on Biden’s watch. And we’re not just talking about trains derailing or ships stuck out at sea. One major crisis Biden allowed ended up hurting millions of families last year. It’s still a lingering problem in many states. So now, House Republicans are dropping the hammer on old Joe.

House Republicans are investigating the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) “failure to respond to the nationwide” baby-formula shortage last year.

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) and Health Care and Financial Services Subcommittee Chair Lisa McClain (R-MI) are calling for the FDA to provide documents and communications between the FDA, Department of Health and Human Services, and White House staff related to the response to the formula shortage to the committee by April 4.

The Reagan-Udall Foundation’s report titled “Operational Evaluation of the FDA Human Foods Program,” found that there was “little motivation, and no requirement,” to “facilitate critical thinking and proactive decision-making” during the infant formula shortage. Despite this report, and the acknowledged need for a major overhaul, you stated that there would be no reassignments nor firings over the administration’s response to the infant formula shortage. The baby formula shortage just might be the most embarrassing and unacceptable crisis to hit the U.S. under Joe Biden. The shortage began in 2021 when Biden refused to address problems with the supply chain. Things only got worse in 2022, when the nation’s largest formula maker had to shut down its factory over safety concerns.

But we learned that the Biden administration knew about problems back in October of 2021, but did nothing about it. As usual, one of Biden’s incompetent agency heads refused to lift a finger to address a real issue. Had Biden actually bothered to do something, the shortages in the U.S. would have not been so severe.

The White House scrambled to find formula, spending emergency funds to fly the stuff over from Europe. But that failed to meet the demand of our nation, forcing parents to rush their infants to hospitals over malnutrition.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee is demanding to see communications between the FDA, DHHS, and the White House. Republicans want to find out why so little has been done over this crisis. The FDA has refused to fire or even reassign staff who failed to respond to this issue.

That is unacceptable. Any institution is required to make changes after failing so horribly. Yet the corrupt Democrats within the federal government always protect their own, even when their mistakes and lack of intelligence hurt millions of Americans.

It’s time for these goons to be held accountable.
