We keep saying it, but they don’t listen. When companies “go woke” they quickly “go broke.” But nobody expected the biggest, most beloved studio to turn on Americans. That’s just what happened, though, when Disney came out pushing radical, leftist ideas. The company regretted it, when it lost billions in recent years.
They had to fire their CEO and bring back Bob Iger, who had the unlikeable job of fixing Disney. He warned that major changes had to happen, so the company could survive. And now, judgment day has come.
The woke corporation Disney has begun layoffs focused across television production and acquisitions as the company’s freefall in the marketplace continues.
“Among the notable staffers let go Monday are Jayne Bieber, senior vp production at Freeform/Onyx Collective; Mark Levenstein, head of production and postproduction at Hulu; and Elizabeth Newman, head of Disney’s acquisitions department,” noted The Hollywood Reporter (THR). [Source: Breitbart]
Yup. Top Disney executives got the ax. Many of their divisions are being cut to ribbons or have been dissolved entirely. That includes an entire division that was supposed to be the “future” of entertainment.
Disney is eliminating its entire metaverse division as part of the impending mass layoffs destined to impact as many as 7,000 employees…

I guess Disney won’t be making content for Facebook’s virtual reality gimmick any time soon. Iger shut down the entire division–created by the former CEO–that was dedicated to making “interactive” content for the headset-wearing, mindless drones who love the “Metaverse.”
This is a big step back for the radical left, which was hoping to use VR as yet another way of indoctrinating children into becoming socialists. Facebook has sunk billions into its “Metaverse,” even remaining its parent company Meta. But without heavy hitters like Disney making content for it… they are in big trouble.
What’s so interesting is how Iger is trying to save the company. Instead of assuring fans that they are returning to family-friend content, he is just firing people. Yes, many of these people were executives who pushed woke ideas, but it doesn’t seem Iger is going far enough.
