In recent weeks, we’ve learned about how large retailers and chain restaurants are closing their doors… in major blue cities. Walmart announced it was closing every store in the city of Portland, OR. The reason? The leftist city government has allowed crime to get so bad, the company had no choice.
Soon after this news broke, restaurant chain Cracker Barrel also announced it was closing its stores in the blue city. The reason can only be rising crime that has left these locations in ruins.
But, you might be thinking only conservative-leaning companies are doing this. Walmart and Cracker Barrel must be run by “bigot” Republicans, right? That’s why they’d be so cruel as to shut down stores in blue cities. The crime isn’t really that bad, it’s just politics.
Then how do you explain this?
Whole Foods, the hippie-friendly high-end grocery store owned by Amazon, is closing a new location on Market Street in downtown San Francisco due to high levels of crime that have plagued the city in recent months…
“A City Hall source told The Standard the company cited deteriorating street conditions around drug use and crime near the grocery store as a reason for its closure.”
“The beleaguered grocery store on Market Street slashed its operating hours due to “high theft” and hostile visitors in October of last year, according to one of the store’s managers. And in November, the store enforced new bathroom rules after syringes and pipes were found in the restroom.” [Source: Breitbart]
That’s right, liberal-owned Whole Foods had no choice but to shut down its new location in downtown San Francisco. The reason: unbelievable amounts of crime. Drug addicts burst into the store, threatening customers and employees. They had to slash hours, to avoid the “peak” time these freaks show up.
They had to enforce bathroom rules because drug addicts were shooting up and smoking pipes in them.
Yeah, I’m going to vote for Democrats real soon. Even Whole Foods is admitting that the leftist policies of San Francisco’s city council are destroying the city. Democrats in major cities are defunding police, eliminating cash bail, and pushing other moves that are rewarding criminals.
In San Francisco, they no longer prosecute “minor” crimes like shoplifting. They’ve long encouraged a drug culture that has led to junkies polluting grocery stores and coffee shops. That has led to a homeless crisis so bad, that law-abiding citizens can’t even walk down the street.
Just recently, the founder of CashApp Bob Lee was brutally stabbed to death, while walking through a “safe” part of the city.
Is nobody in SF going to walk up and smell the bloodshed? The city isn’t going to hell; it’s there. How many more businesses need to leave? How many more people need to die? How many more homeless need to crowd the streets, filling them with garbage and feces–before these people do the right thing? If voters don’t stop electing these Democrats, they won’t have much of a city left.
