It’s safe to say most Americans don’t think Trump is guilty of any crime. From what we’ve seen, Americans rightly believe this entire indictment is an attempt by Democrats to interfere in the 2024 Election. Even some Democrats and legal experts have admitted DA Bragg has no case.
But it seems more people were shocked and disgusted by this leftist scheme. Rumors abounded that even in the DA’s office, few staffers were behind the arrest. And now, Trump is revealing how the courthouse staff reacted when they were arresting him.
Former President Donald Trump said during an interview Tuesday evening that officials in the Manhattan courthouse where he was arrested apologized to him and were “actually crying.” […]
“When I went to the courthouse, which is also a prison in a sense, they signed me in and I’ll tell you, people were crying,” he said. “People that work there, professionally work there, that have no problems putting in murderers and they see everybody. It’s tough, tough place and they were crying. They were actually crying.”
“They said, ‘I’m sorry.’ They’d say, ‘2024, sir. 2024.’ And tears are pouring down their eyes. I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said. “Those people are phenomenal. Those are your police. Those are the people that work at the courthouse. They’re unbelievable people. Many of them were in tears or close to it. Many apologies. ‘We’re sorry, sir. We’re sorry.’ They had to have me do certain things they said. They said, ‘Sir, I can’t believe I have to ask you. I can’t even believe that I have to ask you to do it.’ You can see, so in one sense, it was beautiful because they get it. In another sense, you know, it’s nasty.” [Source: Daily Wire]
According to Trump, many of the courthouse staff that had to process him were apologetic. He even said some had tears in their eyes. It seems the police who were required to arrest and fingerprint Trump were upset to do it.
Trump said they said “2024 sir.” That might suggest they either know this case is about the next election. Or, they are on board with his 2024 campaign. Trump said these were “good people” who work in the Manhattan courthouse.
It’s unclear what will come of this case. Many fear that a liberal judge and liberal jury will gladly convict Trump, purely over politics. But if Trump’s story holds true, there are more than a few Americans outraged over this situation.
We’ve already seen GOP and general polls that have Trump’s support growing. Is it possible that all this will backfire and usher Trump into the White House? Many believe this has secured his GOP nomination. But will enough Americans rally behind Trump, after this fiasco, that he is a shoo-in for a second term?
