We’ve all seen how far Disney has fallen. The once-beloved Hollywood studio has turned on Americans. They have dedicated themselves to pushing woke content in all their movies and TV shows. This has forced decent Americans to tune out, unwilling to support a company that is deliberately attacking their values.
Disney dropped to new lows over the holiday weekend in releasing a woke version of Indiana Jones. Even liberal critics hated the movie, which focused more on lecturing the audience than providing adventure. The movie bombed over the weekend, but its biggest failure was felt on July 4th.
The Sound of Freedom, which was released nationally on July 4th, launched to the number-one movie in America thanks to its pay-it-forward technology.
Angel Studios distributed Sound of Freedom in the US on July 4th this week. On its first day, the movie grossed over $14 million with runner-up Indiana Jones, which opened on June 30, reportedly bringing in $11.5 million, according to Deadline. [Source: The Post Millennial]
Faith-based film The Sound of Freedom was released on July 4th. And it was the number-one movie in America on the holiday, beating Disney blockbuster film Indiana Jones. The faith-based movie brought in $14 million, while the industry-driven film (which cost upwards of $400 million) earned only $11.5 million on the same day.
This is a bigger defeat for Disney than you realize. Indiana Jones is a franchise that has been beloved by Americans for decades. The new film even brought back Harrison Ford as the title character.
There is no reason it should have been a runaway success for the company, defeating everything in its wake.
But not only has it bombed, according to even liberal outlets, but it was beaten by a film with a fraction of its budget. A film that wasn’t produced by Hollywood, didn’t have the same marketing machine, and was largely funded by Americans.
This is a sea-change for movies, make no mistake. Disney was defeated by an independent film company that focuses on Christian-based content. Right now, the radical left is crying. They thought they could trample our values and beliefs–forcing us to support anti-American and anti-God propaganda.
They were wrong.
Don’t be surprised to find more indie films like this to dominate the film industry in the coming years.
