Biden’s Green Dream Dealt Another Loss – Major Company Gives Him Bad News

Joe Biden has tried to force Americans to embrace a radical, left-wing environmental agenda. He has promised billions, if not trillions, to companies–to force them to switch to “green” technology.

But, as is the case with all of Biden’s moves, he is failing to get anything right.

Biden’s push for electric vehicles has crippled the auto industry. Auto workers went on strike for the first time, because Biden’s policies have been destroying their livelihoods. Companies like Ford have lost billions betting on Biden’s idiotic plans.

And now, another major automaker admits it is failing.

GM is drastically cutting its investments in Cruise, its autonomous vehicle subsidiary, following a series of challenges and operational setbacks that have made the company’s self-driving robotaxis notorious on the streets of San Francisco and in other test markets…

The investment cut comes in the wake of several hurdles the company has faced, including regulatory challenges and safety concerns.

Breitbart News previously reported that Cruise suspended all of its driverless operations nationwide following an incident on October 2 in San Francisco. A Cruise autonomous vehicle struck and dragged a pedestrian, causing severe injuries that led to her death. [Source: Breitbart]

GM is slashing its support of Cruise, a self-driving taxi service it had once hoped to roll out across the country. Self-driving cars are part of the left’s future green utopia. Having cars controlled by the ruling elite is part of their plans to deprive you of owning a car–and thus having the power to decide when or where you want to go.

GM no doubt rushed investment in Cruise, on the back of Biden’s push for green vehicles. Biden promised automakers government subsidies to coerce them into making more terrible, under-performing, electric cars.

But the market for these vehicles isn’t there. Americans by and large hate electric vehicles, especially because they can go much farther than 100 miles before dying. And GM’s dandy little self-driving service Cruise?

Yeah, the technology is so bad, that one of the cars hit a pedestrian and dragged her down the road. The injuries she suffered led to her death. Then, the company tried to cover up the event by omitting footage given to regulators.

While we wonder why nobody is in jail for killing an innocent bystander, Biden’s allies in the auto industry continue to lose billions. Companies that thought Biden had any clue what he was doing are now suffering big time.

This Cruise service will surely be shut down soon. Perhaps automakers will come to their senses and abandon EVs altogether.
