For a while now, Democrats have been fighting an internal war. Oh, they don’t want you to know about it. But the radical progressive wing of the party is poised to tear it apart.
Moderates are becoming increasingly angry that Joe Biden and other leaders keep bowing to these socialists. But we are reaching a point where they can’t ignore the woke cancer growing in their midst.
The war in Israel has triggered a fight that is forcing Democrats to take a stand. They either have to do the right thing (something very alien to them) and support the one Jewish nation in the world. Or, they can side with the woke left and support terrorists hell-bent on killing Jews.
This is not a big problem for Republicans, mind you. In fact, progressives aren’t even bothering conservatives. They are targeting their own party, demanding Democrats abandon the only democracy in the Middle East, to support a group that would kill every last one of them.
And if the media thought it was immune from this civil war, it was dreaming.
Protesters calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war stormed the lobby of the New York Times headquarters in Midtown on Thursday morning. 124 of them were then taken into custody.
According to reporting from ABC7, about 150 protesters flooded into the New York outlet’s headquarters in Midtown at around 10 am. This came after a group blocked off roads to a New York Times printing facility in Queens on Thursday morning.
“New York Times, you can’t hide! We charge you with genocide!” the protesters chanted inside the Midtown building.
Those not arrested stood outside the building and chanted that the NYT’s coverage of the Israel-Hamas war was leading to the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza and handed out false copies of the outlet’s paper as people walked by. [Source: The Post Millennial]
Woah! Suddenly liberals are upset with progressive activists! Over 100 anti-Israel protesters stormed the New York Times HQ in Manhattan. They accused the liberal newspaper of “genocide” for apparently not supporting Hamas.
Pretty ironic that the paper didn’t bother sympathizing or cooperating with these progressives. Instead, they just had them arrested. When it’s convenient to the left’s agenda, they let protesters rage across U.S. cities.
But not when those progressives turn on their own party! What’s truly hilarious is that the New York Times is hardly a pro-Israel outlet. There are plenty of anti-Israel writers working for that rag.
However, the paper is largely responsible for exposing the sexual violence committed by Hamas against Israeli victims—damaging the woke left’s claims that Hamas was justified in its horrific attack on October 7th.
So, these deranged activists who are trying to get Democrats to condemn Israel were hit with a huge setback, thanks to what the NYT published.
It remains to be seen how Democrats will deal with this group of stupid, mostly college-aged activists who want to prop up radical Islamists who hate America. But they can’t keep playing to both sides for much longer.
Either Democrats will once again bow to the far left, burning its bridges with Israel and Jewish Americans. Or, it will dump these progressives, risking major election losses in the coming months.
It’s a lose-lose. But they had it coming.
