Fani Willis is the Democrat prosecutor out of Georgia who indicted Trump and many of his former staffers. She has accused him of election interference. But her case hit a major snag, after she was outed for hiring her romantic partner, Nathan Wade.
Allegations against her include paying Wade the highest salary of her team. With that money, Wade took them on luxurious trips. This problem continues to plague her case.
But there are even bigger problems looming over this career Democrat. It seems a whistleblower on her staff told the DOJ that she was misusing federal dollars. For that, she fired the whistleblower. But now, the DOJ is coming after her.
The Justice Department said Friday it unmasked “inconsistencies” in Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis’s use of federal grant funds, confirming whistleblower allegations.
Willis previously fired the whistleblower who alleged the Fulton County office mishandled $488,000 of federal grant money to pay for “swag,” computers, and travel…
The Justice Department did not provide any further details on the nature of Willis’s reporting “inconsistencies” on the $488,000 federal grant, which was earmarked for the creation of a Center for Youth Empowerment and Gang Prevention in Atlanta. The grant ended in September 2023, but the center never opened. [Source: Breitbart]
The DOJ revealed that there were “inconsistencies” with Willis’ reporting on a $488,000 grant given to her office to open a youth center. Despite getting the money, the center never opened.
A whistleblower, whom Willis fired, claimed that the money was spent on “swag,” computers, and travel. It is possible that Willis squandered the money, which could land her in serious trouble.
It is unknown what the Democrat-run DOJ is currently doing in response to this possible crime. Reports indicate the agency is “coordinating” with Willis to address these inconsistencies. There could be a scenario where Willis did break the law, but the Biden-controlled DOJ will try to sweep it under the carpet.
However, House investigators have been investigating Willis’ use of federal grant funds. If there is evidence Willis has misused funds, it is likely that it will come out via Republicans’ investigations, not the DOJ.
