House Republicans have been working for years to hold the Biden administration accountable. Although the election is just around the corner, they are still trying to hold this White House’s feet to the fire.
Many lawmakers were shocked by a recent decision by President Biden. It appeared he was siding with radical progressives in a move that would endanger millions of lives.
Republicans are moving quickly to set this error right. It appears they want strong repercussions against the Democrat. And just as they prepare their letter, Biden makes a quick reversal.
Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., on Tuesday demanded in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland that he appoint a special counsel to investigate President Biden for stalling military aid to Israel.
The letter comes as reports Tuesday claimed the Biden administration has told key lawmakers it would send more than $1 billion in additional arms and ammunition to Israel. It was not immediately known how soon the weapons would be delivered, and the president put another arms transfer, consisting of 3,500 bombs of up to 2,000 pounds each, on hold earlier this month, citing concern for civilian casualties in Gaza. House Republicans sent a letter to AG Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate Joe Biden. These Republicans want answers over Biden’s decision to stall—or perhaps even cancel—military aid to Israel.
The Jewish nation is currently fighting several enemies on numerous fronts. It is in the process of dismantling Hamas—which perpetrated a heinous terror attack on October 7, 2023.
Despite the high stakes to Israel, Biden paused a shipment of bombs to the U.S. ally. It appears Biden has been placating the far left, which has protested Israel’s war in Gaza. Progressives have threatened to turn on Biden in this year’s election, over his support for Israel.
Shockingly, it seems Biden is bowing to the far left’s whims. He has become increasingly critical and hostile to Israel. Even as the nation is fighting for its life, Biden has promised aid to its enemies and has lectured Israeli leaders.
It is possible Biden reversed course, for the moment, over fears of this special counsel. He is reportedly planning to send $1 billion in arms and ammunition to Israel. But it has not been revealed when this shipment will be made.
If Biden continues to delay aid to Israel—aid which has been secured by Congress—he might face strong pushback.
