Right now, Biden is dealing with calls to drop out of the race—from members of his own party. Biden crashed and burned during the first presidential debate. Millions of people saw that we’ve been saying for years that the Democrat is suffering from some kind of cognitive decline.
The White House is fending off attacks from inside the Democratic Party. Many Democrat candidates fear losing big time if Biden’s on the ballot.
Biden refuses to step down, despite his obvious problems. His own family won’t do the decent thing and get him to resign. But Donald Trump used the Fourth of July to come up with an “answer” to Biden’s problems. He challenged Joe to another debate with “no holds barred.”
Former President Trump challenged President Biden late Thursday to another “no holds barred” debate.
“I have the answer to the Crooked Joe Biden Incompetence Puzzle — Let’s do another Debate, but this time, no holds barred – An all on discussion, with just the two of us on stage, talking about the future of our Country,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “The ratings were massive for the First Debate, record setting, in fact, but this one, because of the format, would blow everything away!”
Biden’s performance in last week’s debate, during which he had a raspy voice and stumbled over his words, set off questions about whether he would stay at the top of the Democratic ticket. Since then, three House Democrats and other members of the party have said he should drop out of the race. [Source: The Hill]
Trump provided an opportunity for Biden to prove to his party that he is still competent to run for president. The Republican challenged Biden to a “no holds barred” debate. He wants an all-on discussion with just the two of them. Perhaps Trump thinks this will give Biden a chance to showcase just how competent he really is.
The Republican candidate pointed out that the ratings for the first debate were “massive.” But he thinks an open format would “blow” away previous expectations.
In reality, Biden has nothing to lose if he takes Trump up on this offer. Either he performs well, reassuring his party. Or, he crashes and burns again. Since most Americans already think he’s unfit to lead, that would do much more harm than what he’s already done.
Chances are, though, that Biden won’t take up Trump’s offer. His handlers have been working overtime for years to hide Biden’s cognitive decline from the public. The debate was a massive miscalculation that they won’t do again. Instead, he will ignore his party’s demands, eroding whatever support he has left. And he will lose miserably in November.
