In a scene that could have been lifted straight from a political thriller, the Biden White House continues to ignore widespread calls for President Joe Biden to step down. The plot thickens with whispers that it’s not just political ambition but also his own family that’s urging him to stay in the race.
This development comes amid growing claims that Biden’s cognitive decline has rendered him too impaired to run for reelection. Yet, like a seasoned despot clinging to power, Biden remains steadfast, defying the will of the people.
This week, in a bid to dispel concerns about his fitness for office, Biden took the stage solo for a press conference. It was a bold move, considering his lackluster debate performance. And while his performance might have been marginally better than the debate debacle, it did little to quash fears about his age and capacity. In fact, he committed a blunder so awkward it immediately went viral.
But Biden also made multiple unrelated misstatements in the news conference, including an awkward moment in which he appeared to refer to Vice President Kamala Harris as former President Donald Trump.
“I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president that I think she was not qualified to be president,” he said on the question about Harris’s electability, should he end his reelection campaign. [Source: Just the News]
Biden called Zelensky “President Putin” and now he just called Kamala “Vice President Trump”

Ouch. Referring to Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump” is not the kind of mix-up a sitting president wants to make. Especially when he’s trying to convince the nation of his competency. While we understand he meant to say “Harris,” the slip-up is undeniably cringe-worthy. On its own, people can dismiss it. But in the context of Biden’s ongoing struggle to prove he’s fit for office, it’s a major faux pas.
Naturally, Donald Trump seized the opportunity to weigh in, and his response was as sharp as ever.

Trump’s sarcastic “Great job, Joe!” underscores his longstanding critique of Biden’s mental acuity. Trump has consistently called for Biden to undergo a cognitive exam, a demand the White House has repeatedly rebuffed, insisting that Biden is perfectly fine. Not one to miss a beat, Trump continued to pile on, posting additional clips from the “big boy” press conference that highlighted Biden’s gaffes and further stoked the flames of doubt about his competence.
To conservatives, Biden’s decline is hardly news. But what is surprising, and somewhat disconcerting, is the administration’s refusal to acknowledge the elephant in the room. Even as more Democrats voice their concerns, Biden and his allies remain in a state of denial. The big question now is, how long can they keep up this charade?
