The Democratic Party is crumbling like a house of cards in a tornado. Not that anyone’s surprised.
After years of claiming they were “protecting democracy,” leading Democrats are now frantically pointing fingers at each other. The circular firing squad would be comical if it wasn’t so predictable.
You might think they’d blame their failed policies or Biden’s basement campaign strategy. But no – they’ve found a new scapegoat in their own Attorney General Merrick Garland, claiming he “wasted a year” that could have been used to prosecute President Donald Trump before the 2024 election.
“Garland only started the prosecution after he was in effect forced to by the report of the Jan. 6 committee,” fumed New York Representative Jerrold Nadler, practically throwing his former golden boy under the bus. “The evidence was available from the beginning.” Translation: Why didn’t our Attorney General immediately prosecute our political opponent?
Even President Biden reportedly regrets selecting Garland as his Attorney General, joining the chorus of Democrats who claim the DOJ moved too slowly in targeting President Trump. Let that sink in – they’re upset because the Justice Department actually took time to investigate before prosecuting someone.
Minnesota Senator Tina Smith didn’t even try to hide the political motivation. “The department was so focused on being kind of by the book,” she complained. Heaven forbid a prosecutor follow proper procedures instead of rushing to indict their political opponents!
While Democrats whine about “lost time,” they conveniently forget how their own theatrical January 6 Committee hearings ate up months of valuable investigation time. Their political circus forced prosecutors to wait for evidence they could actually use in court.
Special Counsel Jack Smith, their would-be champion, spent more time fighting legal battles over executive privilege than actually prosecuting anyone. Here’s a shocking revelation: You can’t just ignore the Constitution because you don’t like the target of your investigation.
Now Smith is expected to resign before Trump’s inauguration, required to submit a report summarizing his findings to the Department of Justice. It’s almost like the American people saw through the whole charade and decided they preferred actual democracy to political persecution.
Vermont Senator Peter Welch accidentally spoke the truth when he admitted, “This isn’t about the DOJ. This is about Trump being successful in rewriting history.” Wrong again, Senator – it’s about President Trump being successful in preserving history, including little things like due process and the presumption of innocence.
As the dust settles on this failed witch hunt, one thing becomes crystal clear: The American people chose constitutional principles over political persecution. They rejected the weaponization of justice and voted for real democracy instead.
The Democrats’ admission of their true intentions isn’t just embarrassing – it’s a warning to every American patriot about what they tried to do to our justice system. Their failure is America’s victory.
