Who is really President of the United States? The media will say it’s the sleepy old man who rarely makes public appearances. And when he does, nobody is all that impressed. But there is another man, who hasn’t made too many appearances lately. But when he does, it becomes national news.
Even the liberal media misses their wall-to-wall coverage of Donald Trump. Since leaving office, he’s made only a few appearances. Perhaps his refusal to return to a social media outlet is by design: to keep the failing MSM off life-support by denying them material to cover.
But once and a while, he reappears. And we discover just how many Americans miss the America first president.
And just the other day, he made a surprise visit to his daughter-in-law’s event. And the crowd went wild.
President Trump on Friday made a surprise appearance at a fundraiser for a dog rescue organization with which his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, is involved.
The former president popped by the event at his private Mar-a-Lago club and delivered an impromptu speech…
“I’m with you 100 percent. We had many meetings in the White House and the Oval Office having to do with saving and helping dogs!” said Trump, who was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat…
Trump also teased a run by his daughter-in-law for a U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina. Lara Trump is reportedly mulling a bid to seek the seat of retiring Republican Sen. Richard Burr in 2022.
“I don’t know. You’re running for the Senate. I hear she’s going to run for the Senate,” Trump told attendees, who cheered. [Source: Daily Wire]
It’s amazing that just a short appearance from President Trump is enough to get people cheering. The pretense was for him to show support for Lara Trump’s dog rescue program. But much more was going on.
Trump was once again, showing his face, to see just how the country would react. His little mention of Lara’s possible Senate run in 2022 is further evidence of his future involvement in American government.
We still don’t know if Trump will return to the campaign trail in 2024. But we do know for a fact that he will be a strong presence in the 2022 midterm elections. Trump has made it clear that he will use his considerable influence to help elect strong conservatives to public office. And he has also been calling out disloyal Republicans, vowing to campaign against them during the primary season.
With every appearance, speech, and statement, Trump is making it clear that he is far from gone. And the response he’s getting from the public is proof that they want him back.
Even the liberal media misses him these days.
