If you haven’t noticed, gas prices have surged over the last few days. They were already going up, thanks to Biden’s idiotic policies. But his meaningless sanctions on Russia (which have failed to stop the invasion of Ukraine) have put a strain on American energy. It’s not crazy to think gas prices will reach over $5/gallon as the national average. Yet Biden twiddles his thumbs.
What’s so ridiculous about this situation is that we have all the resources necessary to fix the crisis. All we have to do is drill more oil—something we were doing quite well (and safely) just two years ago. Biden can simply lift his destructive policies that are crippling American energy. So, why won’t he? One of the biggest losers in the administration, “Mayor Pete” just admitted why.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour” that to combat oil prices skyrocketing amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Joe Biden did not want to authorize the Keystone Pipeline.
According to Buttigieg, it would be “galloping after permanent solutions to immediate short term problems.” […]
He added, “The president has laid policies that are going help cushion the impacts of any volatility in energy markets in the future by building up more of a diversified and homegrown energy base for this country.” [Source: Breitbart]
Buttigieg (whose time as mayor of South Bend, Indiana was rife with scandal and corruption), admitted that Biden does not want to provide “permanent solutions” to our rising gas prices. The political appointee said a whole lot about nothing when he claimed Biden was after a “diversified and homegrown energy base.” If Biden really wanted that, he’d include oil and natural gas.
Instead, he cripples the best providers of energy—and has no plan to offer alternatives.
Are we supposed to wait another ten years before solar and wind power can do the trick? We need solutions now. And the Keystone XL pipeline was proven to be a safe way to transport oil, which would not only bring in billions and jobs but prevent Russia from dominating the global energy market.
Why doesn’t Biden want a permanent solution to this problem? Buttigieg claims this gas crisis is an “immediate and short-term problem.” The problem is, when you ignore something, it quickly becomes a long-term and permanent problem. For a former mayor (and administration official) not to see that is shocking. And it underscores just how incompetent and dishonest this administration is.
A real president would be moving heaven and earth to provide for the American people. He would be negotiating with companies, cutting through red tape, and bending lawmakers’ arms to get the job done. But Biden makes many promises about lowering gas prices, but then goes to eat ice cream.
If there’s one word we should use for this presidency, it’s “fake.”
